Executive Housekeeper

He/she will be responsible for implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that acceptable standards are met with OSHA, local and state regulations.

Job Description: He/she will be expected to perform the duties, including but not limited to:

  • Train and oversee employee compliance with OSHA standards regarding proper usage and dilution of chemical products, equipment safety and usage.
  • Devise daily deployment of housekeepers based on hotel occupancy, arrivals and departures.
  • Lead a team of housekeepers and laundry attendants to continuously improve cleanliness and productivity.
  • Plan and schedule proper staffing accordingly for all special events.
  • Maintain and document all personal and departmental documents pertaining to the housekeeping department such as inventory.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure optimal guest experience in both the hotel and apartments.
  • Monitor activities of the department and maintain records of all expenses and control all costs for the department and recommend ways to increase efficiency.
  • Coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public areas with Head, Maintenance.
  • Handle budgeting and control on all housekeeping expenses.
  • Development and periodic review of cleaning protocol, analyze all competition businesses and plan all schedule for deep cleaning and pest control and perform regular audit on same and ensure compliance to all loss and found procedures.

Person Requirement:

  • Experience in housekeeping administrative processes (e.g. budgeting, recruitment, performance management).
  • Ability to identify role-specific risks and quickly develop a plan of action.
  • Problem-solving aptitude, particularly under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Result and detail-oriented with an eye for perfection and a thirst for excellent service delivery.
  • Ability to work long hours on your feet.
  • Experience in Facility Management is an added advantage.
